Located in a prime area of Lisbon, with the Tagus River in the forefront, this 19th-century mansion has been revitalized through an interior architecture project by Cristina Jorge de Carvalho Studio. While preserving the identity of the original project renovation, the studio reimagined the layout to align with the client's needs and lifestyle.
Drawing inspiration from traditional Portuguese aesthetics, the project prioritized the use of indigenous materials such as manual glazed tile, hydraulic mosaic, and Portuguese marbles. These elements were reinterpreted in a contemporary manner and artfully combined with terrazzo, wood floors, and black steel accents. The neutral colour palette serves as a canvas for the striking emerald green accents in the contemporary kitchen and dining room, adding a touch of modern sophistication.
The result is a luxurious yet contemporary family mansion that seamlessly blends classic charm with modern elegance, offering a timeless retreat in the heart of Lisbon's vibrant landscape.
