70s Apartment in Lisbon

70s Apartment in Lisbon

Architecture and Interior Design | Residential | Lisbon - Portugal

The decoration of this flat in Lisbon, designed by interior designer Cristina Jorge de Carvalho, mainly follows the neutral colour palette of the interior design project carried out by her studio, inspired by the 1970s and the maximalist architecture she loves.

For the interior design of this beautiful flat in Lisbon, Portugal, Cristina Jorge de Carvalho mainly incorporated the neutral colour palette of the architectural project, combining it with touches of colour and contrasts in materials. As opposed to the coldness of travertine stone and stainless steel, materials that are very present in the architectural project, this interior design project brings warmth and comfort through the choice of wood, upholstery, silk and other materials.

Vases, chairs, armchairs, ceramics, silver objects and lighting were purchased from antique galleries around the world as part of their constant search for unique objects. The photographs and paintings are by some of Portugal's most recognised contemporary artists, including Julião Sarmento, João Louro, André Cepeda and Edgar Martins, among others.
